Uncommon Height Awards Gala
Each
year, the celebration of Dr.
Dorothy Height's birthday in March, coupled with the
exquisite Uncommon Height Gala, gains local and national
attention for
the luminaries and advocates it attracts. The consistent
support of some of Washington's most powerful in politics,
the arts,
business and the media creates a palpable buzz in whichever
ballroom the occasion unfolds.
Usually held in the spring (April), the Uncommon Height Gala entertains and delights well over 1,000 attendees each year. Proceeds from the Gala strengthen
NCNW's capacity to meet critical needs and to empower women.
