The purpose of the National Council of Negro Women’s (NCNW) blog and social media pages (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube) are to share science-based information and to facilitate an ongoing discussion about the issues. We encourage your comments. Your ideas and perspectives are important to ensuring an engaging and informative conversation on this important subject. However, NCNW does have some policies regarding comments to help make people who visit our blog and social media pages feel more comfortable and respected.
Moderation of Comments
Comments made on the NCNW website and YouTube will be moderated before being posted. Comments made on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram will be instantly posted. Some comment threads will only be open for a limited time after the original date of the post’s publication.
Treat NCNW and Discussion Participants with Respect and Stay “On Topic”
We expect that participants on our blog and all our social media pages will treat each other, as well as our staff, consultants, board members and guest, with respect. NCNW reserves the right to remove any form of distasteful commentary at our discretion. Any comments containing the following elements will be deemed inappropriate and will be removed:
For the benefit of robust discussion, we ask that comments remain “on topic.” This means that comments must relate to the topic being discussed within the post or a previous comment existing within the same comment thread and must not be antagonistic in nature.
Comments that remain on our blog and on our social media pages will not be edited by NCNW. Therefore, those comments that feature inappropriate portions will be removed in full. Violation of this policy may result in actions up to and including being banned from further posting on our blog and/or social media pages.

NCNW does not guarantee or warrant that any information posted on our blog/social media pages – by NCNW staff/consultants/board members or other individuals – is correct, and therefore, assumes no liability for any loss or damage resulting from reliance on any such information.
