The Bethune-Height Changemaker Pathways (BHCP) is named after the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) visionary founder, Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune, and longest serving president, Dr. Dorothy Irene Height. These influential women embody what it means to be true social justice changemakers, exemplified by their rich legacy stemming from their lifelong commitment to advocacy, empowerment, leadership, service, and social action. NCNW rising changemakers are members committed to walking in the footsteps of the heroines who came before them by first immersing themselves in BHCP programming to gain invaluable access and opportunities. Check out the inaugural cohort below.

BHCP is one way NCNW is creating space for members who should be in the room where forward change is cultivated. This program creates an opportunity for members to change their personal and professional trajectories and those of their community by facilitating conference sessions, securing mentorship, and providing civics education and professional development opportunities.
