BHCP APPLICATION

Submit Application

Due: Monday, June 17, 2024, 11:59PM EST

        • DEADLINE: Applications are due no later than Monday, June 17, 2024, 11:59PM EST—late submissions will not be reviewed, there is no application fee.
        • REQUIREMENTS: In addition to providing general information, applicants must submit the following—
          • VERIFICATION: Applicants must submit PDF documentation that verifies the following—
            • ENROLLMENT: To verify your college enrollment status, please obtain documentation from your school’s registrar.
            • MEMBERSHIP: To verify your NCNW dues paying status, please submit 1) your receipt of payment from Give Cloud OR 2) documentation from National Headquarters. Contact Ashley Meads (ameads@ncnw.org) OR Danielle Tyson (dtyson@ncnw.org).
          • VIDEO RESPONSE: Attach one video, no more than five minutes long, that clearly captures you visibly speaking directly into the camera, without effects, graphics, photos, props, etc. Your video should be 1GB max in 264, HEVC, MP4, MOV, OR ZIP format. Your one video must address ALL of the following prompts—
            1. BIO: Tell us about yourself personally, academically, and professionally (e.g., accomplishments, activities, aspirations, interests, passions, etc.).
            2. CHANGEMAKER: What does being a changemaker mean to you and how will you embody this during your lifetime?
            3. SELECTION: Why do you believe you should be selected to participate in the BHCP Collegiate Career Accelerator?
            4. STIPEND: How would you use the $5,000 stipend?
          • WRITTEN RESPONSES: Each response should be no more than five sentences. NOTE: Responses that exceed five sentences will not be reviewed.
              1. ACCESS AND OPPORTUNITY: Describe the access and opportunities you hope to gain from BHCP AND how you plan to reach that goal.
              2. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Describe the knowledge and skills you hope to gain from BHCP AND how you plan to reach that goal.
              3. MENTORSHIP: Describe your ideal mentor and why, as well as what you hope to gain from the relationship AND how you plan to reach that goal.
          • SELECTION: The most ideal candidates for BHCP are individuals who are eager to learn and grow, while fully committing to and immersing in everything the program entails. Selected applicants will be notified no later than August 15th.
